So you want to include really nice image at good resolution in your posts on CL. Uploading to CL while posting isnt option for you if you really want good resolution on images. Anytime you upload images to CL, they cut the resolution and viewable size of image to save space and bandwidth on their servers. Net results is really cut down version of your original image.

You have another option to include original image at the original resolution. That is to include it as HTML Image tag <img> as part of your ad content. For this, you need to first upload the image site some website where its accessible to all people. It could be your own website if you have website hosting account or it could number of free image hosting sites on internet. Search for ‘Free Image Hosting Sites’ using the search box on this site and you will see tons of results that will give you information on what sites on internet allow you to upload original images at full resolution for free.

How to upload and how to get link to that uploaded image varies from website to website. You then take that uploaded image link and include it in your ad content using html tag <img> .

Now, here is the problem. Lot of people realized that by putting up ads as images, they could bypass CL filtering system that scans all ad content and block ads that meeting certain criteria. People realized that if the content is in image form, CL system couldn’t scan as it as good as it would if the content were to be text. So folks started to use all free image hosting site and host images and just put that image as content in their CL ads.

Guess what ? CL soon realized the problem and they enhanced their filtering system. Not only does it scan text ads, it also looks for those <img> links to see if the image is hosted on one of the ‘black listed’ hosting site. Due to number of people abusing the free image hosting sites, soon most of the free image hosting sites got added to the CL ‘black list’.

It is almost impossible now to post properly using one of these freely available image hosting sites. I say almost, because everyday new image hosting sites popup on internet and they tend to work ok for few days until lot of people start using it and get it blacklisted on CL.

There is still hope for free image hosting though. Apply this basic principle, you need to be in highly popular group or an known group. Never be in the middle . It applies when you are in High School, applies to your financial status (aren’t the middle class who gets stressed out mostly ?), applies to life in general.

Let me elaborate. If you host your images on some unknown site (unknown to other people) then your chances of getting blocked is very low, because the site itself is not popular with people and there aren’t many posting using that image host, hence its not likely to be on CL blacklist. OR, you should host with some site thats so popular, that CL can’t put it on blacklist, because lot of other people use it and they complain if CL puts it on blacklist.

Give me one such popular site, You may ask. The answer is photobucket.com . A birdy told me that CL doesn’t block photobucket.com at site level. So head over there, create an account, upload your image and start using it in your posts.

Someone may complain, my image still gets blocked. Well, if you used exact same image url again, and again, and again and again, yes, CL will block full URL (link). Pay attention, CL isnt blocking the site itself in this case, its only blocking your full url. So how do you get around that ? You may want to create new account with that hosting site and upload new image. I said “may” because, that image hosting site may have policies against creating multiple accounts and you should think about sticking to their policies.
